About

I am currently working on my PhD and study dairy calf welfare, specifically personality, feeding behaviour, and housing. I came to the Animal Welfare Program because the people create an inclusive, supportive environment for exchanging diverse ideas, and I was drawn to this thoughtful atmosphere.

I am from Ohio, USA. While earning my BSc, I focused on animal sciences, but also diversified by minoring in a variety of disciplines. I was most intrigued by animal welfare; contributing to several projects examining swine welfare (behaviour, piglet care, and lameness). For my MSc with the Animal Welfare Program, I studied social housing for dairy calves.
